The 7 Best Poker Apps to Improve Your Game

The 7 Best Poker Apps to Improve Your Game

Here are the 7 top poker apps to improve your game that I use daily. I literally wouldn't be able to keep up with the game like I do without them. And the best part is many of them are totally free!

If you prefer to learn the 7 Best Poker Apps in video format, watch it below!

Poker App #7 Tally Counter

I rarely use this application to track how many hands I'm playing in an hour, my VPIP and whatever else I care to monitor at the table. I prefer having it as a means of keeping myself in line. Think you play too loose at the poker table? The mere act of downloading the app and tallying each time you willing put money into the pot will prevent you from being too loose. Easy but effective, and perhaps one of the most useful poker apps for this reason. Give it a try!

Poker App #6 Notes

Yup. Simple notepad. I use this free app that's on my iPhone more than any other one, I'd guess. Before, during and after every session I'm jotting down notes on my game. On my opponents. On my reads. On my blog or video topics. On hands to practice. Or equities to calculate later on.

In short, I highly believe that 'Notes' is one of the best poker apps to keep track of nearly everything!

It's my most favorite application for getting thoughts out of my head, to put ideas on paper and to never miss another crucial piece of information. It's really convenient while playing frequent games I'm attending. I am able to jot down notes about other players and use them before my subsequent game. I like the Siri feature most. I step back from the table every now and again and either quickly take a voice note or chat into the notepad whose fantastic technology converts everything I say. That way, I am able to pick up information in a hurry and get back to the game!

Poker App #5 Bravo Poker (for iOS and Android)

Bravo is unquestionably the best poker app for anybody who wants to keep an eye on the cash game action in their area. Bravo Poker has made me thousands of dollars. The other day I found out about a game I most likely would not have if I could not see what was running while sitting home. I scooped in and printed. Wherever I am close to a casino, I am always monitoring games, and a couple of clicks bring me to see all the action (waiting lists included) for all the game types. Giant casinos like Aria, Bellagio, Commerce and Wynn all update their boards of games in real-time using Bravo. You can star your favorite local casinos as well for easy viewings. Why miss out on another game?

Before we go any further, I want to let you know about our next mastermind, Alec's Academy.

If you're a beginner or intermediate poker player looking to refine your skillsets registering for Alec's Academy is the most convenient and best way of doing so.

Poker App #4 Poker Income

Without any doubt one of the best poker apps on the market, I make use of this Poker Income to track both my tournament and cash game sessions. I particularly love that it does come with a touch ID authentication, so my information is safe. Filtering results is also really easy. You can sort sessions by date, size, location and access stand-alone reports for cash games and tournament. Finally, you can enter in completed sessions afterwards, and even take notes during the game to view later.

Poker App #3 Poker Cruncher Equity Calculator

This is my go-to poker app I've found for crunching numbers. From calculating your equity in a poker hand to some immediate math feedback, this app is my go-to for strategy checking in play. Want to know if you should have made that all-in call with two Jacks? Simply input your opponent's range and voila! You've got your equity in the pot. (Just don't do so without considering your pot odds either!)

They have a free one but you should really pay the $14.99 for their paid version. You can use it on your desktop or PC too.

If you would like to access a detailed review of how to use a poker equity calculator, and the actual study process I use every time I play, you can access it here.

Poker App #2 Share My Pair

I'm grateful to be a ShareMyPair professional team member; this convenient app allows you to share hands with friends conveniently. It's the best poker app available for this purpose.

Do you like my 'HandoftheDay' channel on YouTube? We also employ all the replayers here from SMP. You can even favorite or follow your favorite poker stars quickly, monitoring when they release new hand reviews!

Poker App #1 Primed Mind

  • This is probably the best poker app ever! We all know how important it is to be in the right mindset for the game.
  • Poker is a game of patience, discipline and courage, and if your mind is distracted with work, bills or problems, you’re not going to play your best.
  • If you’re anything like me, there’s a huge difference between your A game and your C game, and Primed Mind gets me ‘primed’ to play my best poker before each session.

With a wide array of meditations ranging from ‘playing with confidence’ to ‘preparing for final tables’, there’s something here for everyone. They also have non-poker related content as well, and I’ve used Primed for business, public speaking and winding down before bed. You can download it free here.
